3 Wheel Scooters

celebrityx3wheel.jpg3-Wheeled Scooters are great for indoor use, because they are highly maneuverable. For maximum maneuverability, the most important spec an electric scooter can have is a low turning radius, which is essentially the amount of space needed for the scooter to make a complete 180-degree turnaround.  3-wheel models tend to be easier to maneuver around tight corners, and are generally preferable for users who are most likely to use their mobility scooter in a shopping mall or grocery store.

Four Wheel Scooters

celebrityx4wheel.jpg4 Wheel Scooters are designed for maximum stability, and are a great choice for outdoor use.  This makes them much better suited to be used outdoors, but they have a larger turning radius, so might not be a good choice for indoor use in tight quarters. If you reside in a rural area where road conditions are rougher, or where you'll be riding for long distances on grass and unpaved dirt roads frequently, then you might want to invest in a scooter with stronger tires and higher clearance that will travel for long distances without needing a recharge.

Travel Scooters

gogoelitetravellerplus1.jpgTravel Scooters are designed to be disassembled for easy storage and transit in a vehicle. They are designed to be easily taken apart and transported. Usually the heaviest piece will only be around 25 pounds. Designed to be lightweight and transportable, these scooters are great for local shopping outings and vacation travel alike. Outdoor use should be limited to smooth, paved surfaces.

Heavy Duty Scooters

They can be driven over almost any terrain and offer many upgraded features. These types of scooters also tend to have the highest weight rating with some supporting 500 pounds. These types of scooters tend to be pretty heavy though and while they can be taken apart into pieces in a manner similar to a travel scooter, the heaviest piece is going to be around a hundred pounds. This means to transport it you will probably need a vehicle scooter lift.
